Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)

Location: Saint Louis University Hospital – St. Louis, MO
Facility Type: 356-bed nonprofit, academic medical center
Affiliation: SSM Health & Saint Louis University School of Medicine

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IR Tech to join the team at Saint Louis University Hospital. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment that serves a diverse inpatient and outpatient population. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in interventional procedures and be comfortable operating advanced imaging and injection systems.

Shift Details

Shift: Days, 4x10-Hour (07:00 – 17:30)

Call Requirement: Average of 10 days per month, including weekends

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Low Census Policy: Up to 36 hours may be low census canceled per contract

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of IR Tech experience

Experience working with inpatient, outpatient, and adult ICU patients

Proficiency in the following procedures:

Stents, angioplasty, angiograms

Paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephograms, drainages

Peripheral/vascular studies, venous access

Neuro studies, GU/abdominal/pelvic and extremity studies

Biopsies, Snare Kits, pushable/detachable coils

Micro catheters and micro wires

Injector systems (preferably ACIST)

Required Certifications

BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)

ARRT Certification

Technology Experience

Must be proficient with EPIC EHR

PACS, C-Arm, Contrast Injection Systems

Other Job Requirements

First-Time Travelers Accepted

Locals Not Accepted – Must live 70+ miles from facility

Pending Licenses Accepted – Subject to manager approval

RTO Policy: Time-off requests must be submitted with the application. Any additional requests post-confirmation are at management discretion.

Floating: Not required
